Autumn Cocktails You Have To Try

Making cocktails at home with friends or family is a fun and cheap alternative to a night out, something myself and my friends like to do usually with a game of Cards Against Humanity thrown in. As we're into the swing of Autumn now, I've been trying out some Autumn inspired cocktails to really get your taste buds tingling and I'm sharing three of my favourite concoctions with you today.

This one needs a week worth of prep but it is so worth it if you're a fig fan. Using Smirnoff Vodka, pour half a litre* into an airtight container along with sliced fennel and half a pound of dried fig then pop in the fridge for a week, just remember to give it a little shake each day. When you're ready to serve, strain the vodka over tumblers of ice and serve with a slice of fresh fig. It's savoury, earthy and perfect for dark evenings. (*This makes eight cocktails)

I've been a Baileys fan for a long time, it has always been my adult drink when I try and be sophisticated, my not so adult drink of choice is Captain Morgans Spiced Rum so being the sensible, adult I am, I mixed them together. To create The Princess & The Pirate mix 25ml Baileys with 25ml of Captain Morgans and shake before pouring over ice. Baileys recommend this as a shot but you're all adults so pour and mix as you please.

Smirnoff Apple Bite -
Another vodka based cocktail, the Apple Bite is perfect if you like your drinks to have a bit of a kick. To make a single cocktail, pour 25ml of vodka over ice then add lemonade followed by apple juice. To finish, squeeze in a lime wedge then slice another to slide on to the side of the glass for garnish.

Remember to always #LetsCocktail responsibly.
