The Good Spa Guide

A few weeks ago on Twitter you may have seen the #SpaBeauty chat in collaboration with The Good Spa Guide. Myself and a number of bloggers took part to discuss our perfect spa breaks, what we do at home to relax with our favourite spa products and some spa horror stories. It was a lot of fun and lots of blogger were involved, I discovered some new products to try and some lust worthy spas to visit.

The Good Spa Guide specialises in picking out the best spas and treatments so you get the most relaxing experience for the best money. The website is an encyclopedia of hotels and spas, helping you pick the best of the best whatever your budget. Spa breaks can be pretty pricey and occasionally if you shop around for the cheapest, you end up with a pretty rubbish day so The Good Spa Guide sent me some of their fail safe products so I could create the perfect spa experience at home meaning I could completely switch off and relax in the comfort of my own bathroom.

I set aside a whole evening of pampering as my partner was going out and I had the most blissful time. He did need to help me with the Thermal Spa Glorious Mud All Over Body Mud* which was very funny when I was eventually covered and had to be helped into the Thermal Spa Full Body Sauna Suit*. After treating myself to a mini sauna I jumped into a bubble bath to soak off the mud and use the Thalgo Exotic Island Body Scrub* which left my skin feeling so silky.

To give my skin that added bit a luxury I used the Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Oil*. It smells incredible thanks to the Pink Grapefruit, Rosemary and Juniper Berry. I regularly use body oils and always love the way they make my skin feel. I used the Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque while in the bath then followed up my skincare with Hydramemory Cream*, a rich, hydrating cream for use in the morning or evening. I was also sent the Nimue Exfoliating Enzyme* in my spa pack but I'm yet to use this.

I'd love to know if you were able to get involved with the #SpaBeauty chat on Twitter and what you learned during it. Also let me know what your favourite products are to use at home to create your very own spa!
