Homeware has been a big love of mine ever since my parents let me choose the paint shade I wanted for my room when I was a kid, next came my addiction to candles and pillows and it hasn't changed since having my own home. I can spend hours wondering around Homesense because there is always so much to discover and it's the kind of place that when you discover something you have to buy it because it won't be there when you next visit.
Homesense in Hedge End has a huge cave full of hidden gems and Sotonbloggers rounded up some of the troops to head down for the Southampton Loves event filled with food, fun and plenty of shopping. We were presented with £20 gift cards on the night to buy whatever we wanted and soon everyone had their arms full of gems. In true blogger fashion, the majority of us headed home with notebooks and candles. The stationary selection at Homesense always seems to have some serious winners along with some beautiful quotes emblazoned across the front.
I bought a decorative block with coffee across the front to place in my kitchen and a rustic frame with a chalkboard bottom and a pegged space to hang polaroids. It's already hung on my wall and will come in extra handy for the engagement party and wedding.
I already have more items in my mind to pick up next time like a couple of storage boxes and kitchen bits. I was going to be sensible and buy things I actually needed with my voucher but the pretty things won and I do not regret it at all. My favourite piece was a grey and white speckled armchair which would be perfect for our living room but I would've had trouble getting it back, another excuse to go back!
