Fresh MAC - Faux & Cranberry

When you have a best friend that stays with you through thick and thin, keep hold of her. When that best friend also rocks up with MAC Cosmetics goodies for you... well... she couldn't be more of a keeper if she tried. This is what my bestie did recently and two of my most wanted items have now joined the MAC family in my dresser.

Faux is a lipstick I've wanted ever since another friend of mine bought it while we were makeup shopping. I already have Brave which is pretty much its sister shade but what's another nude eh?! Faux is described as a muted mauve pink and it comes in a Satin finish which is quite creamy. It sits comfortably on the lips and stays really well. I've said over and over again that I'm a matte finish girl through and through but the Satin line of lipsticks from MAC Cosmetics are definitely my second favourite.

The eyeshadow shade she bought was in Cranberry, one I've been recommended on countless occasions. I have a 15 pan pro palette so Cranberry was placed straight inside. I really like the consistency of MAC shadows as they're light, blend really easily and have the most insane colour pay off. I regularly wear Naked Lunch and Antiqued together and Cranberry sits with both shades beautifully. I have just three spots left to fill in my pro palette so if you have any more recommendations please let me know.

What have you been buying from MAC Cosmetics recently?

  1. I've heard so many good things about Cranberry - it looks like such a beautiful shade! I've also heard a lot of people raving about Faux, and it's one I might consider picking up as I really enjoy their nude lippies - I recently got Twig and it's just so gorgeous! The mauve tones in Faux sound right up my street!
