With Summer in the air, fairgrounds popping up for half term and pretty pastels shades everywhere you look, Sleek Makeup's Whimsical Wonderland collection couldn't be more apt. The limited edition collection hosts a range of candy shades for eyes, lips and cheeks, including an I-Divine palette, three cheek gels and three Lip VIPs, my favourite lipsticks from Sleek Makeup.
The eyeshadow palette, All The Fun of the Fair hosts twelve mineral based, long lasting shades. Having used a number of their I-Divine palettes in the past I knew the shades would be just as creamy and easy to blend, I was a little skeptical as to whether the pastel shades would have much colour pay off but I needn't of worried, they're just as pigmented as the rest. The shades are each named after everything you'd associate with a fairground and it gives the collection a very English summer feel.
The accompanying lipsticks come in the ever popular Lip VIP finish, semi-matte, intensely creamy with the most incredible colour pay off. I reach for my shades daily. The lipsticks in this range are Big Shot, a vibrant purple, Hot Tottie, a gorgeous cerise pink and Fancy Pants, a peachy coral. The swatches above were just two layers of each shade, they last for hours through food, drinks and nattering with the girls. I cannot recommend them enough.
Lastly, Sleek Makeup have released three new Sweet Cheeks cheek gels in shades to compliment the lipsticks. I was worried these would be quite garish but they apply subtly with the option of building them up. I'm a powder girl but these are soft and glide on the skin unlike some I've tried in the past. The weightless cheek stains give a pretty summer hue to the cheeks and they make blending to the shade you desire effortless.
I love, love LOVE the Whimsical Wonderland collection, it makes doing your make up girly and fun, the shades are so pretty and I now have the sudden urge to eat lots of candy floss! The collection is available in stores and online while stocks last as it is a limited edition collection. Be quick before you regret it!
