Seventeen Stay Time Foundation

As well as lipstick, foundation has always been one of my favourite beauty products. I love the way it can transform the way you look in many different ways and I'm forever hunting down my perfect one. MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix has been a firm favourite for many years, I love a high coverage foundation even though I don't need one as I like how they blur my skin but finding a cheap highstreet version has been a challenge, until I discovered the Seventeen Stay Time Foundation*. I use two shades as Natural is a tad too dark and Porcelain a tad too light, both shades mixed together gives my perfect shade and for under £15 for the pair, it's still a fair bit cheaper than Studio Fix.

The Seventeen Stay Time foundation gives a flawlessly smooth base that aims to last for 25 hours, I cannot confirm that as I don't wear my foundation that long but it does last for work to evening cocktails pretty well and it held up for a busy day travelling to Brighton, surviving a wind battering and a near sprint for the train without needing a touch up. It's a thick foundation, you really don't need much at all to cover your entire face. I've been applying Stay Time with a stippling brush followed by a quick dab with a beauty blender as that seems to give the best results for me. There are six shades available and they retail at £6.49 each, Seventeen usually have offers on such as buy one get on half price so it's worth checking them out next time you're in Boots.

If you're a dewy base fan then this isn't for you but if you're a full coverage lover like me then you'd be hard pressed not to love this!

  1. This is one of my favourite full coverage foundations, I prefer it over many of my high end ones! I also have the Seventeen Stay Tme Concealer which is similar to the Nars one but not as drying!

    1. I've not stopped reaching for it. Used Studio Fix last week and really wasn't as impressed with that as I am Stay Time. xx

  7. Think I'll be trying this out next! I'm in desperate need of buying a new shade as everything I currently own is a tad too dark... Leeds is just not bringing out the sun!

  8. Would you say Porcelain is very light then? As I have trouble finding a full coverage foundation that isn't too dark for me, I'm a bit ghostly. I think I shall keep my eye out for this one. For some reason I never considered Seventeen for foundation, but I have no idea why?!

    1. It's worth having a look as I find it quite light, if it's slightly dark still then you could try mixing it xx

  9. I might have to give this a try. I've looked at it before but was worried as when I swatched it the formula was a bit thick, I like the idea of using the beauty blender though. Xx

  10. Sounds like a great foundation! I have never tried anything from seventeen yet as I don't think its actually available in NZ but they sound great nontheless. I'm also not a dewy face fan myself as I already have quite oily skin so this sounds perfect :)
