A few Saturdays ago myself and some of the Sotonbloggers girls headed down to Brighton for the Brighton Bloggers Meet organised by Laura of Lola & Behold. We jumped on an early train from Southampton so we could go exploring in the lanes before the event, find somewhere yummy for food and have a bit of a catch up over coffee. We wandered into Sass & Belle, Oliver Bonas and Angel Food Bakery followed by lunch at Pinocchio which is the cheapest and best Italian in Brighton Lanes.
The BtonBlogMeet was held at The Globe just off of Brighton seafront. After grabbing a glass of wine at the bar we headed downstairs where the event was being held. Laura had done a fab job of getting some fabulous brands involved. We had Purepotions, Homage and Snact there on the day and we were able to mingle and just go over to each company when we had the chance. I really loved Homage, the products were beautiful and Liza had such a passion for the company. I have an online basket waiting to be purchased once our holiday is paid off.
During the day Laura had organised ice breakers where we had to get as many details from different bloggers according to the list we were given, there was a snack station filled with Metcalfe's Skinny Topcorn and a raffle was also held raising money for Grassroots Suicide Prevention. The raffle table was chocker full of generous prizes from PurePotions, Bee Good, Kate Spade and many more with all five of us walking away with a raffle prize, we must've brought some luck with us!
After a couple of hours at the event we heading back to the train station to make our way to Southampton armed with the heaviest of goody bags. Laura packed them full with so many goodies I could barely carry them. There were items from Life Tonics, Homage, Bio-oil, Body Fantasies, Funkin Cocktails, Chill* and so many more! I absolutely love my candle from Wick Hove and I'm excited to try out the skincare and beauty products from MooGoo, Green People and Anatomicals.
I had such a lovely day in Brighton with the girls and it was made so much nicer by being able to meet bloggers I'd been speaking to for months over Twitter. The BtonBlogMeet has definitely given me the oomph I need to start planning Sotonbloggers Summer Event.
