Dermalogica HydraBlur Primer

When I went into have my treatment with Dermalogica I mentioned how I was a complete newbie to the brand and by chance the same week I had the Dermalogica HydraBlur Primer* arrive for me to test out. I don't always use a primer as I feel like it's one of those products that I can take it or leave it but after researching more about this one I was open minded.

HydraBlur comes in a 22ml squeezy tube which is easy to use and hygienic. I also love that it comes with a tube squeezer, that is not the correct term but it's a clip that you place on the end so you get every last drop. If more beauty brands could do this I'd be eternally grateful. I hate wastage. The primer aims to hydrate and smooth your skin while minimising fine line and wrinkles. It also helps mattify oil giving you a luminous finish. Dermalogica advises you apply the cream primer with a damp sponge or foundation brush but I've just been using my fingers as it means I can use a pea size amount and apply it exactly where I need it.

I usually use a silicone based primer when I can be bothered as I find they blur my skin better but I've been so impressed with HydraBlur I haven't touched another primer all month and I've used it every day. It's lightweight and used under foundation it leaves my make up looking fresh and flawless. By 7pm, my make up still looks the same as it did at 7am and as I'm usually rushing around from work to events, I need my make up to last. HydraBlur is a pretty pricy addition to your make up collection but one you will not regret trying. The reviews on the Dermalogica website speak for themself, it really is a fabulous product and one I'll be loving for some time.

  2. I've always looked at Dermalogica but I'm yet to try any products, I've been loving my Smashbox primer but when that runs out I think I'll give this a go it looks as though you get quite a bit of product with this too which is always a bonus :) xx
