Vitacoco Coconut Oil

I have read so much on the benefits of coconut oil in the last few months that when Vita Coco sent through one of their drink care packages I was happy to see a pot of their much talked about coconut oil included too. The Vita Coco Coconut Oil* is 100% raw, cold pressed extra virgin oil. The purest of pure. It comes in a small glass pot with a handy screw lid because if it wasn't I'd have real difficulty getting the lid off with oily hands.

So far I've used this in my hair, my skin and in cooking. I've been switching between the Ojon Intense Repair Mask and Coconut Oil to give my hair a real treat. Half a teaspoon melted into the palm of my hands is enough for my mid length thick hair. I just leave it on for twenty minutes then wash out with shampoo and leave to dry. Coconut Oil leaves my hair feeling so much softer and well nourished. It's also great for dry skin especially on knees and elbows before and after fake tanning.

There are so many uses for Coconut Oil, when I googled it to see what would come up I was a bit dubious of some of them but the majority I can see working. It's also proven that people who have coconut as a main staple in their diet are some of the healthiest in the world. If you're yet to give this natural pot of goodness a go then what are you waiting for? Just make sure it's extra virgin, if it's refined you will not get the same benefits.

Have you used Coconut Oil before? If so, what for?

  3. Sounds like I need to get myself some coconut oil! I bought a tub last year when oil pulling was all the rage but think I opened it twice then abandoned it! Never even tried it in my hair or anything!
