Jo Malone London Experience

My mother and I recently went along to our local Jo Malone London counter to be talked through their fragrances and how to layer them. We were also treated to complimentary hand and arm massages with our chosen fragrances. Jo Malone London is such a luxurious brand but walking in always overwhelms me as there is so much to choose from. Most counters offer complimentary slots which we found out about when we were stood looking confused one Saturday last month.

We went into West Quay a few weekends ago for our consultation with Susan. I love taking my mother to things like this because what we like is very different so there's no chance we'd end up choosing the same. After being shown their new fragrance, Mimosa & Cardamom we then went on to smell lots more and decide on what we wanted layered to compliment our tastes.

My mother chose Pomegranate Noir layered upon Blue Agave & Cacao while I went for Wood Sage & Sea Salt layered upon Mimosa & Cardamom. I was really unsure of their newest fragrance but the more I smelt it, the more I fell in love with Mimosa & Cardamom. Once it settles, it smells warm and spicy even though it's listed under their floral category.

I was on best behaviour with my money this day so I didn't treat myself but the two I chose are definitely on the wishlist and with Christmas fast approaching the hints are being dropped big time. If you're like me then it's definitely worth booking in an appointment before you get too spendy plus everyone loves a pamper right?!

What is your favourite Jo Malone fragrance?

  2. I'm going to an open night event with Jo Malone in Leeds in a couple of weeks so will definitely look out for Mimosa and Cardamom. Although I am a bit tired of the word cardamom from GBBO ;) They use it in everything!!
