Nude Lip Loving

A nude lip is the easiest thing to work once you've found your perfect nude. Remember your teenage years of foundation lips? Yup, we've all been there and unfortunately the photos are there to haunt us. Mac Myth I'm looking at you. After a fair few years of trial and error, I have three nude lipsticks I wear again and again. Admittedly they all look pretty similar but there is a slight difference in shade, texture and longevity.

First up is the forever beautiful Yves Saint Laurent No.1 Beige Charnel which I have worn countless times. The packaging is half the appeal, gold, iconic and with the shade colour in a band around the middle. The lipstick glides on as it's so creamy leaving a pretty, dusty pink pout. It's creaminess makes it moisturising but it does mean it doesn't last as long as I'd like for a lipstick that costs £26.

Hue from MAC Cosmetics is my next favourite. I picked Hue up in a blog sale on the spur of the moment having not searched for swatches or reviews. I did falter a little thinking I'd be risking foundation lips but it's PERFECT for me. I just pop it on before work and off I go, no mirror needed to apply as it really is my lips but better. I'm not a Glaze finish fan usually but this one I love which you can tell from how worn down it is.

Lastly is my most recent purchase. I forgot to take the YSL lipstick out with me one day so instead of being sensible and buying a cheap one from Boots, I bought Naked from Urban Decay but it was the best decision ever. This has not left my bag for three months and I think it's the quickest I've ever worn a lipstick down to the point I'll be having to repurchase it pretty soon. Naked really is just perfect. It's creamy, long lasting and leaves the most beautiful shade on my lips. I've been asked so many times what it is when I'm wearing it and I've turned into the crazy girl that shouts "You have to buy Naked" at a lot of people. It's the darkest of the three but it's my number one and will be for a very long time. The packaging is also something I really like about it and it screams Urban Decay. This is the first lipstick from Urban Decay I've tried and it won't be my last, I think they may have stolen MAC Cosmetics lipstick crown. Have you got a favourite nude? I'd love to know what it is.
