Benefit Cosmetics Watt's Up!

I've gone a bit highlighter mad in recent months and finally bought Watt's Up! back in February. I've been a big fan of High Beam for more years than I want to admit and felt like it was time to branch out in the Benefit Highlighter department. I'd been undecided between Watt's Up! and Girl Meets Pearl for so long but the champagne glow stole my heart. The packaging was also a big sway factor, a pretty lilac tube with the product one end and a blending sponge the other.

The soft focus highlighter has a cream to powder finish which leaves a silky smooth highlight to the cheeks and brow bone. I usually apply this once I've done my base along my cheeks and t-zone, blending out with my fingers or a buffing brush. I'm not a fan of the little sponge attached, I just don't seem to get on very well with it because I think it's too small to do the job properly.

I have quite fair skin so I was a bit unsure whether this would suit my skin tone but I really had nothing to worry about. The champagne shade is really flattering, leaving a subtle, dewy glow which makes me look more awake and healthy. Watt's Up! is also my hangover secret, used alongside Benefit's Lemonaid you'd never know I'd had a few too many and no sleep! Girl Meets Pearl is still on my want list but for the minute this little baby has my highlighting needs covered. If you're yet to add it to your collection, you really need to hot foot to your local counter and treat yourself!

  3. I love both Girl Meets Pearl and Watt's Up, but I find Girl Meets Pearl easier to blend and works better with my skin as I can be a bit dry.

  4. This is my favourite high-lighter, love the finish of it ! I just blend it out with my fingers, i find it works better because it warms up the product more than just a brush.

  5. I'm super pale and was apprehensive about buying this too incase it didn't suit me, but after reading this I now want to go and buy it asap! Especially if it doubles as being perfect for hiding a hangover.
