Solent Graduate Fashion Show 2015

Last Tuesday myself and the blogging girls descended on St. Mary's Football Stadium in Southampton for an evening of Fashion in association with fashionshowdiaries. The Solent Graduate Fashion Show was organised by Jessica Duke and Shannon Diment, two students from Southampton Solent University. The event was showcasing the final collections from Solent's Fashion Design students with a catwalk show and the opportunity to also view collections from other fashion courses in another show room.

In the show room there was the chance to have professional photos taken and have a chat with some of the students showing their work. In the main suite we were greeted with drinks and programs for the night aheads show. We quickly made our way over to the raffle to buy some tickets with two of the top prizes being a Bobbi Brown make up set and a football signed by all the players at Southampton Football Club. The show was set to start at 7pm so we took our seats on the front row and tucked into bags of Propercorn which we found in our goody bags.

The show started with a collection from Jessica Barton featuring vibrant pastels and pom poms, followed by a few of my favourite collections by Yochelle Wilson, Lauren Hawkins, Xinya Li and Jocelyn Brotherhod. The catwalk look was created by make up artist Sian Lidgate from Bobbi Brown, a glowing day to night look with glossy lids and toned down lips. Jess and Shannon did such a fabulous job of hosting the Solent Graduate Show.

Everything seemed to run smoothly from the outside, the venue was perfect and the show itself was packed, more packed than I've seen a Solent Graduate show the last few years. I had such a fun evening with the girls and it was so nice to attend something a little different. Jess and Shannon should be so proud, they put on such a professionally run event and they're both a huge credit to Southampton Solent University.
