Smashbox Southampton Event

Smashbox in Boots Southampton recently held their first blogger event which myself and a handful of my blogging girls attended. We were greeted by the fabulous Jo, Katie and Tash with bucks fizz and mini sweet treats and sat down in our cornered off section for an evening of make up and hair.

The event was to show their new Contour Palette and On The Rocks Holiday collection for 2014. The Contour Palette was unfortunately sold out but we got to swatch to our hearts content with the demo palette and Jo also showed us how to create a beautifully contoured look on her model, not too over the top but enough for it to make a difference which I loved. There is only one shade option at the moment but all the shades in the palette are so versatile it would suit most skin tones.

The On The Rocks Holiday Collection is beautiful! I had to stop myself from touching and buying everything. Jo used the Photo Op Eyeshadow Luxe Palette with 28 eye popping shades from your standard neutrals right through to jewel tones and smokey blue and greys to create a peacock-esque look on one eye and a classic smokey eye on the other. Both gorgeous, both I'm trying hard to re-create.

Tash from Bumble and bumble then took center stage to show us how to use the Dryspun Finish Texturising spray, Bb Texture Creme and Pret a Powder and also fill us in on the new primers we need to be using on our hair. Tash created a volumised hair style using all three products on Tanya's hair and also created the best beehive I've seen in a while on Karis. I'm already a fan of the Dryspun Finish Texturising spray so I really want to give Pret a Powder a try next.

There was a special points offer in Boots on the night so naturally I did a little shopping which included the On The Rocks Eye Essentials kit. I bought some extra bits which I will be posting in a haul later this week. We were also given a goody bag full of Smashbox and Bumble and Bumble products, mine included a full size Full Exposure mascara and a Be Legendary lipgloss in Coral. I can't wait to try the Bumble and bumble hair sachets but I'm a little worried I'll fall in love and never want to buy anything else.
